Wa-Hi’s Blue Devils Shine in the Mid-Columbia Conference

At Walla Walla High School (Wa-Hi), the Blue Devils were well represented in the Mid-Columbia Conference (MCC). The most notable selection was Jailyn Davenport, a standout setter, who earned a spot on the All-MCC First Team. Davenport’s precise sets and leadership on the court played a key role in Wa-Hi’s success this season, and her recognition as one of the best in the league is a testament to her hard work and dedication. In addition to Davenport’s top honors, teammate Hanna Wright, an outside hitter, earned Honorable Mention status for her solid contributions to the team.

McLoughlin High School’s Pioneers Receive Recognition in the Eastern Oregon League

In Milton-Freewater, McLoughlin High School’s volleyball program also garnered attention in the Eastern Oregon League (EOL). Miley Rhoads, a middle blocker, was named to the All-EOL Second Team. Rhoads has been a powerhouse at the net, contributing both offensively and defensively. Alongside her, three of her teammates received Honorable Mentions: setter Addy Brown, outside hitter Lainie Ellis, and libero Maritza Ruvalcaba. This recognition for McLoughlin reflects the strength of their volleyball program, where several players made significant impacts on the court throughout the season.

College Place Dominates the South Central Athletic Conference

College Place High School had a strong showing in the South Central Athletic Conference (SCAC). Both Lucinda Weaver (libero) and Mia Ferraro (setter) earned First Team honors for their outstanding performances in the backcourt and as primary setters for their team. These two athletes showcased exceptional court awareness, precise passing, and leadership skills, making them standouts in their league. Additionally, outside hitter Kelsee Miranda received an Honorable Mention for her contributions to the team’s offensive efforts, making College Place’s volleyball program one of the most formidable in the region.

Weston-McEwen’s Strong Representation in the Blue Mountain Conference

In the Blue Mountain Conference (BMC), Weston-McEwen High School’s TigerScots showcased their talent and received ample recognition. Two players, libero Kylie Kramer and outside hitter Charlotte Hansell, earned First Team honors, solidifying their roles as key players for the TigerScots this season. Alongside these two standouts, outside hitter Delaynee Angell and middle blocker Brielle Ward were named to the Second Team, while setter Mya Bryan received an Honorable Mention. The variety of players selected from Weston-McEwen highlights the team’s overall strength and well-rounded skill set, which led them to a successful season.

DeSales, WWVA, and Other Schools in the Southeast 1B Conference

The Southeast 1B Conference (SE1B) saw strong performances from athletes at several schools across the Walla Walla Valley. At DeSales Catholic School, a trio of players earned spots on the All-SE1B West (Grape) Division First Team. Middle blockers Anniston Jimenez and Heidi Scott were recognized for their dominance at the net, while libero Helen Hellburg-Wilson’s exceptional defensive skills made her an integral part of the team’s success. Setter Tori Kimble was named to the Second Team for her reliable playmaking ability.

Walla Walla Valley Academy (WWVA) also had a stellar presence on the All-Grape First Team, with four Knights selected. Middle blocker Kienna Stepper, setter Jasmyn Heredia, outside hitter Addy Stepper, and libero Ella Luthi all earned top honors. This recognition reflects the Knights’ strong team play and their ability to dominate in multiple positions. Additionally, Touchet’s Diana Rincon and Prescott’s Yosceline Esquivel also earned spots on the All-Grape First Team for their respective schools.

Meanwhile, in the All-SE1B East (Wheat) Division, Dayton setter Peyton Benavides was named to the Second Team, showcasing her ability to set up plays and contribute to her team’s success. In Pomeroy, three Pirates received All-Wheat First Team selections: outside hitter Taylor Gilbert, libero Olivia Cooper, and setter Hollie Van Vogt. Sadie Klaveano, an outside hitter from Pomeroy, was named to the Second Team, demonstrating her all-around skills and consistent play throughout the season.
