Karim’s journey began in Hermosillo, Sonora, where he was born on April 12, 2007. Growing up in a basketball family, he was inspired by his father, Jesus Hiram Lopez, a former professional player in Mexico. From a young age, Karim showed immense potential and determination to succeed in the sport.
When Karim was 12, his father recognized his talent and began intensive training. “That’s when I knew he loved basketball and could become special,” Jesus recalls.
