In an interview with Will & Woody on The KIIS Network, Kid LAROI talked about his views on being a role model and the pressures that come with it. He believes striving for perfection in the public eye is unrealistic and can feel forced.
“I think the whole concept of being a role model might need a redefinition. We don’t have to be perfect, and I’m comfortable not being perfect,” LAROI shared. “I’m just a human, and I know I won’t get everything right. The key is to accept that and try my best.”
Kid LAROI also shared that Justin Bieber serves as a big brother figure, someone he can turn to and learn from. He emphasized that Bieber’s experiences – albeit on a much larger scale – offer invaluable knowledge, helping him navigate the pressures of fame.
“He’s someone I can fully rely on. The advice and knowledge he shares are so valuable, especially since he’s been through similar things at an even more intense level,” LAROI said.
Regarding their friendship, Kid LAROI revealed that Justin Bieber first reached out to him on Instagram, expressing his love for LAROI’s music and later inviting him to the studio to listen to his album Justice. Since then, they have maintained a close bond, meeting regularly and sharing life experiences.
