This weekend, Taylor Swift will continue the second North American leg of her Eras Tour with a stop in New Orleans. For those not living in the area, they may have spent a hefty sum preparing for the upcoming show. However, some lucky fans found a way to reduce their costs thanks to a unique initiative organized by one of the most passionate Swifties – Rebecca Fox.

The Beginning of ‘Holiday House’
Rebecca Fox, a long-time Taylor Swift fan, has spent over a year preparing for the event she calls Holiday House. She started this project by pre-booking 191 hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn with the goal of reducing lodging costs for Swifties traveling to Louisiana for the concert. Initially, Fox only booked 20 rooms at the Hyatt Regency, located near Caesars Superdome – where the concert is being held. However, the number of rooms quickly multiplied as she noticed the high demand from the Swiftie community.
The name Holiday House was inspired by the lyrics of Taylor Swift’s song The Last Great American Dynasty from her album folklore. The story within the song somewhat reflects Fox’s own journey, as she spent considerable time and effort preparing for this event, aiming to create a space for Taylor Swift fans to connect and have an unforgettable experience during the Eras Tour.

Rebecca Fox’s Journey
Fox recalls that she has been a die-hard Taylor Swift fan since the singer’s early career. As soon as the Eras Tour was announced, she knew she had to be one of the first to attend. However, securing tickets was only the beginning of the challenge. The cost of travel and accommodation posed a significant obstacle, but Fox found creative solutions to save money. She opted to take a train to Los Angeles and rented a car to attend the concert in Phoenix. However, due to limited time, she spent less than 24 hours in Phoenix and missed the chance to connect with other fans or fully enjoy the concert experience.
It was this incomplete experience that inspired Fox to create Holiday House. She wanted to provide the Swiftie community with a chance not only to attend the concert but also to spend time connecting, making friends, and creating memories over the three days Taylor Swift was performing in New Orleans.

Organizing the Event
Before Taylor Swift announced the second leg of her North American tour, Fox had a feeling that New Orleans would be one of the stops. Using her connections around the city, she contacted Caesars Superdome to inquire about the possibility of Taylor Swift performing there. Although the response was vague, Fox began planning and pre-booked a large block of hotel rooms.
The Holiday House event quickly expanded, from booking a few dozen rooms at the Hyatt Regency to moving to the Holiday Inn after the initial hotel couldn’t accommodate more reservations. Fox worked tirelessly to ensure that all Swifties attending the event had a safe and comfortable place to stay at an affordable price.
What’s remarkable is that Fox has organized this entire event at cost, without making any profit. She only asked attendees for a $25 deposit to reserve their room and promised to refund the deposit at the event’s conclusion.
Connecting the Swiftie Community
Holiday House is not just a place to stay; it has become a major event attracting hundreds of Swifties from all over. Fox has organized numerous Taylor Swift-themed activities to connect fans, including friendship bracelet-making sessions, scavenger hunts, and other fun events. The entire event runs from October 24 to October 28, while Taylor Swift performs in New Orleans.
Fox shared that she has made many new friends through this event. “Before this, I only knew one other Taylor Swift fan in New Orleans, but now I have dozens of close friends here, and thousands all over the world,” Fox said.
The Benefits of the Event
Organizing Holiday House not only helps reduce lodging costs for Swifties but also provides an unforgettable experience for those attending. While many fans have spent thousands of dollars to attend the Eras Tour, this event helps them save on some of the major expenses while still enjoying everything the tour has to offer.
Additionally, by organizing this event, Fox has helped fans avoid common issues such as ticket resale scams that many other Taylor Swift fans have encountered. Fox hopes her event will set a model for future community events, offering fans a chance to participate in major tours without bearing excessive financial burdens.
Holiday House is more than just an event for Taylor Swift fans – it’s a testament to the love and unity within the Swiftie community. From planning hotel reservations to organizing fan activities, Rebecca Fox has left an indelible mark on the Taylor Swift fanbase, turning New Orleans into a dream destination for all who love the singer.
With hundreds of fans attending and unforgettable experiences, Holiday House has proven that the power of connection and love for music can create incredible memories, even without Taylor Swift being physically present. This will undoubtedly be an event that Swifties will remember for years to come.
