The Portland Trail Blazers have announced a new chapter in broadcasting by partnering with Sinclair Broadcast Group to launch the Rip City Television Network and the paid streaming service BlazerVision, marking the first time in the franchise’s history that the majority of games will be available on local television. This agreement significantly expands the broadcast reach, quadrupling the viewership across Oregon and Washington, allowing fans to experience Blazers basketball wherever they are.
The Rip City Television Network will include Sinclair’s broadcasting stations throughout the Pacific Northwest, with games aired on KATU and KUNP in Portland. Fans outside of the Portland metro area can also watch the games on stations such as KUNS, KTVL, KVAL, and others in Seattle, Medford, Eugene, and Yakima/Pasco. This means fans can catch Blazers games not just on cable channels but also on free-to-air broadcast stations.
