Speaking about the operation titled “Operation Sweet Silence,” Sheriff Greg Countryman called for an end to gang activity in Columbus. “If you’re involved in criminal activity, I want to send this message to you: Even if your name was not on the arrest list yesterday, don’t think you’re safe. I don’t want you breathing a sigh of relief because our work is not finished. Just because you haven’t been arrested doesn’t mean we’re not watching you. Don’t get too comfortable because we still have a lot of work to do,” Countryman emphasized, as reported by Complex.
