A Holiday Tradition Meets Extravagant Style

Ryan Reynolds, 48, took to Instagram Stories to share a cozy scene from their family’s holiday tradition: watching It’s a Wonderful Life. As the camera panned out, fans got a look at their awe-inspiring Christmas setup, which included a beautifully decorated tree, twinkling ornaments, and lush boughs adorning their Tribeca apartment.

The centerpiece of their festive display, the Christmas tree, featured personal touches that reflect the couple’s life together. Decorations included a small Manhattan skyline model, a nod to their NYC roots, and a crocheted Deadpool doll, a playful homage to Ryan’s most iconic role. These details added warmth and personality to their already dazzling holiday decor.

Inside Their Tribeca Loft

The festive display is set against the backdrop of the couple’s rustic-chic apartment in Tribeca, a neighborhood known for its star-studded residents, including Jennifer Lawrence and Harry Styles. Their loft features tall wooden beams, warm earth-toned furniture, and wood-paneled floors and walls, creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the holiday theme.

Beyond their Manhattan home, the couple also owns a $5.7 million countryside retreat in Pound Ridge, New York. This additional property offers a private escape from the city’s hustle and bustle, providing the family with the best of both worlds.

Life at Home with Four Kids

Blake, 37, and Ryan are parents to four children: daughters James (9), Inez (7), Betty (4), and son Olin (1). Despite their busy Hollywood careers, they are deeply committed to family life, often juggling their professional schedules to spend quality time together.

In a recent podcast appearance on Not Skinny But Not Fat, Ryan reflected on the joys and challenges of parenting four young kids. “They’re all under our roof right now,” he shared. “The whole family’s under our roof right now. We have them all. And that is a fleeting thing. Not an infinite resource, you know?”

While Ryan described fatherhood as a blessing, he candidly admitted to the occasional exhaustion that comes with it. “It does get to you. And it’s okay to be like, ‘[expletive], I am dying.’ Because that’s gonna happen every other day,” he joked.

A Mindful Approach to Parenting

Ryan also opened up about how his approach to parenting has evolved over time. Speaking at a panel during HubSpot’s INBOUND conference in Boston, he revealed that a workshop on conflict resolution significantly influenced his parenting style.

“I just didn’t know how to process things that I felt,” Ryan explained, describing how he grew up with a scarcity mindset. “I didn’t know how to unfold that thing in your brain that conditions you just always to win or be right.” He added that his children have never had to experience that same mindset, humorously noting, “I have 4 kids, and so far, none of them seem to have that [scarcity mindset], partly because they were born on ‘Easy Street.'”

Balancing Career and Family

Despite their packed professional lives—Blake with multiple film projects and Ryan with his ongoing work in acting and producing—the couple remains dedicated to creating a warm and loving home for their children. Their Christmas decorations are a reflection of that dedication, combining tradition, creativity, and an appreciation for the simple joys of family life.
