She recalled how every Friday night they filmed in front of a live audience, which was one of the most exhilarating experiences she had. Making a child laugh uncontrollably due to their pure joy was one of the most rewarding feelings for her.
“We would film Wizards in front of a live audience every Friday night, and that was one of the biggest highs I could ever get. It was amazing to make a kid laugh uncontrollably because it’s pure,” Selena shared.

Selena also shared that she had often been mistaken for Alex Russo, especially when kids would approach her, knowing her solely as the character Alex. Some even asked her, “Where’s your wand?” as though she were still the character in their eyes.
“I’ve had kids come up to me, and they only know me as Alex. And they’ll have full conversations like, ‘Where’s your wand?’” Selena laughed as she recalled.
