A Historic Performance for Coldplay
This year’s BBMAs will mark a milestone for Coldplay as they take the BBMA stage for the very first time. The band, fronted by Chris Martin, will perform songs from Moon Music, their 10th studio album, which has been praised for its celestial themes and innovative sound. The album has also fueled their ongoing dominance in the live music scene, with Coldplay up for two major awards this year: Top Duo/Group and Top Rock Touring Artist. These nominations add to their impressive BBMA record, having won 10 awards previously, including last year’s Top Rock Touring Artist.
A Busy Year on the Road
Coldplay’s 2024 has been packed with monumental moments. In the lead-up to Moon Music, the band toured extensively, with sold-out shows across Australia and New Zealand. They’re already gearing up for another ambitious tour in 2025, starting with dates in the Middle East and Asia, including a landmark performance in Ahmedabad, India, which is expected to be their biggest show to date. A North American leg will follow, kicking off May 31 in Stanford, California, and wrapping up July 27 in Miami, Florida.
A Star-Studded BBMA Lineup
Coldplay isn’t the only major act set to light up the BBMA stage this year. K-pop sensation Seventeen will perform their recent collaboration with DJ Khaled, “Love, Money, Fame.” Seventeen, who are nominated for Top K-Pop Touring Artist, are known for their high-energy performances, making them a perfect fit for the show.
