Notably, games against new Big Ten members like Washington and Oregon will mark the first-ever meetings between the programs, creating highly anticipated showdowns. The home game against USC in February will be the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools but the first since the 1990-91 season.

Key Players Return and Top Transfer Class

Maryland enters the season with the return of key players like Julian Reese, DeShawn Harris-Smith, and Jordan Geronimo. Additionally, the Terps boast one of the top transfer classes in the Big Ten, including Ja’Kobi Gillespie (from Belmont), Selton Miguel (from South Florida), Rodney Rice (from Virginia Tech), and Tafara Gapare (from Georgia Tech).

Beyond the transfer class, Maryland has also signed Derik Queen, a five-star McDonald’s All-American from Baltimore, and Malachi Palmer, a four-star guard from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. These high-caliber additions are expected to provide depth and enhance the Terps’ competitiveness in the Big Ten.

Live Viewing Opportunities and Special Matchups

The Terps will kick off the 2024-25 season on November 4 with a game against Manhattan at the XFINITY Center. In addition to conference games, Maryland’s non-conference schedule features notable neutral-site matchups against Villanova at the Prudential Center and Syracuse at the Barclays Center.

Season tickets for the 2024-25 season are now available starting at $199. Recent Maryland alumni (those who graduated within the last five years) receive a 48% discount on season tickets, while current Maryland parents with students enrolled this year receive a 20% discount on two season tickets. All games will be broadcast on the Maryland Sports Radio Network, featuring legendary Voice of the Terps Johnny Holliday alongside Chris Knoche and Walt Williams, delivering thrilling moments for fans.

As the new season approaches, the Maryland Terps are ready to bring high-caliber matchups, compete for top positions in the Big Ten, and pursue significant goals this year.
